*pumps fist*

Oh yeah. Labor is back in Power! What a wonderful word.

Right, with that out of the way. This weekend I ended up going to Portland for a [livejournal.com profile] danielrh's wedding, and what a lovely affair it was. Wedding at the botanical gardens, a beautiful bride, a wonderful reception, all lovely. I, however, am totally pooped, seeing as we drove down yesterday, and got back home a few hours ago from driving back. The drive was actually quite good, just tiring. Me and MDA shared the driving down, which certain helped the trip.

And now, I am going to rest for a bit.

Lets wait on the Senate results before going overboard: if FF have balance of power (37 Lib/Nat senators), then things could be tricky.

It looks like it'll be a shared balance of power with the ALP needing the Greens, Xenophon, and FF. Hopefully, Richard will take the final seat from the Libs here in Victoria, which will just make it Greens + Xenophon (which will still be challenging, but a little less bizarre).

I love the [Error: Irreparable invalid markup ('<acronym="monash>') in entry. Owner must fix manually. Raw contents below.] line. Makes it seem all disturbing and secretive, like the men in black just swooped down and grabbed MDA's lj.

And I just did it myself! It's self-perpetuating!

If FF is in the mix to make 50%+1, there is going to be a major problem. The Libs have already foreshadowed (on the ABC broadcast) a policy of obstructionism, citing the resistance to the GST and the sale of Telstra as precedent.

I guess they see that as the job of the opposition party, to oppose things.
