And so it begins...
May. 1st, 2004 10:31 amThe forces of Sluggy.net are moving to expell one of their own, through whatever means they can. Not that I'm surprised or anything, of course. He's had it coming for quite some time, perhaps what I'm more surprised at is that it was so long coming.
That said, I still think it unfortunate. Literally everyone at Sluggy.net (with possible exception of
codenamejp) will disagree with me, but it's unfortunate that people have had to go to such lengths as secret messaging to move against someone who has no idea that it's coming. If you're that pissed off at him, the least you can do is tell him that the plans are in motion.
That, and I think the expulsion of anyone from a community is a bad thing. I'm not sure what he ever expected to achieve with his style. He must surely have realised by now that his style simply did not, and could not, work on anyone but himself. I suspect that's the nature of blind faith, but that's neither here nor there. But regardless, I find it sad that the only person that people will celebrate when they leave is him.
And, of course, I wonder whether the pact will hold, and I wonder what will happen when everyone's favourite flaming target disappears. I will be watching the next few weeks with a certain amount of interest.
Goodbye, dear
raahul. I'm going to miss you around here. Because I'm not sure whether anyone will let me talk to you again. Not on Sluggy.net, anyway. Yes, I know you all disagree with me. You know what? I don't care.
