Well, the past day or so has been, you guessed it, Rain. Lots of Rain. After driving around for an hour or so, I can now say with confidence that I am living next to far too many flood basins. In fact, I'm fairly certain that the entire green wedge around my area is one big flood basin. Going down Ferntree Gully Road, and seeing the Chesterfield Farms sign, it's struts under water. Going over the bridge, and the water is so high the bridge itself was almost under water.
High St, of course, just continued the trend, though the flood basin there just looks like mangroves now...
In other news, today is my little brother's 18th birthday, and as such I'm back home. Tonight I'm going to go to Cue Sportz to celebrate his birthday, then David is going to pick me up to go to FOME Camp. I hope the rain finishes by the time we head off. Midnight driving in the rain is not my idea of fun...
