Silver Hair, Take 1!

Today was big day of Hair dyeing! Silver here we come!

It seems that my hair was a touch too dark to get it all done in one day. The first bleaching did make it much, much lighter, but we realised that it wasn't nearly light enough, so we started a second bleaching with a stronger formula, but it became clear pretty quickly that my scalp was just not going to be able to take it today, as it started burning. So, we let it go for as long as we dared, washed it out then tried the toner that I'd bought.

It looked like it was going to do the job, but it seems that we missed some important instructions, and when we washed it out, it washed the entire toner out! Barely any stayed in at all! We may try again, and this time try to keep it in rather than rinse it out, because it really did look like it was going to work.

But, although it's difficult to see in the photo, the roots are actually quite silver, from the tint we tried beforehand (Mum actually had a professional silver tint lying around, so we tried that after the first bleach, but it really didn't do all that well). We may try again on friday, once my scalp's recovered, to try and get it down even further (the roots are fine, it's just the tips that are resisting!).

Also, now that my hair is pretty damn blonde now, there's a whole bunch of other options which become available. The various temporary greys, and the professional silver tints will work really well with my hair now - it's just a matter of getting it just a touch lighter so it will take properly.

Although, with that said, the blonde hair looks kinda cool. I will keep working on the silver, but just the blonde won't actually be that bad either...
