More correctly, the Commonwealth Bank requires that you go through a means test, same as a regular credit card. Which, of course, is stupid, seeing as a Visa Debit card is your money, not the bank's or Visa's!
I actually have a bankcard with the Commonwealth (which I use for EFTPOS stuff), but the fact that I really wanted a debit card to use over the internet brought me to St. George.
