Well, this wasn't handing in thesis, this was handing in coursework essay, and that was on Social Network Analysis vs Communities of Practice (It ended up a draw).
My thesis (which I start work on next year), however, is on Online speech communities, and why techniques used for studying speech communities offline may not be appropriate for use with online speech communities.
