Sleeping in has never been so stupid...
Mar. 5th, 2004 09:54 pmYeah, made a seriously bad mistake this morning.
On Fridays, Lara happens to have a 9am class at uni, while my first (and only) class for that day happens to be at 12pm. So, we're both struggling to get up that morning, and I'm struggling more than Lara, when she, being mildly annoyed with me, says to me "Why don't you just sleep in?" This, being a morning, is when my brain is turned off, so naturally I took her up on her offer.
Needless to say, she really, really didn't like that.
So, I get to Uni later, wait for her to get out of her class, and when I finally see her, the minute I start apologising to her, she starts crying. Obviously, not only was I stupid, but I also happened to be the straw that broke the dromedary, and Lara just mentally fell through.
But, after a good ten minutes of heartfelt apology, showing I cared for her by asking her to come to my lecture (because I didn't want to leave her while she was like that), a few favours for her, flowers, a shared cake, as well as a shared Tropicana Smoothie, I think we've both managed to come to terms with everything. We've also resolved to try and find the time to have more time alone together - the last week or so, we've not really had much of an opportunity at all.
