A while back, I made a LJ post on my nostalgia for a few childhood series that I didn't think I'd ever find again. As it turns out, more than a few other people have been searching for these as well, and most have found the vast majority of what I'm looking for.

However, I think it's worth pointing this out, because today I got my 4th e-mail about it. I'm not annoyed by it at all, I just want to point this out to other searchers so they don't get their hopes up.

No. I unfortunately still lack any copy of Elly & Jools. Sorry people. The guy who replied on that post never got back to me, so I still have no copy of the series.

Just an FYI for all of you...

After that brief digression...

Today, of course, was Father's Day. It was also a reminder of why I need a better brain (anyone got a better brain they can lend me? please? :P), as I'd clean forgotten about that little-known fact that Sunday Roleplaying and Father's Day are somewhat incompatible at the best of times. This Father's Day, however, my Paternal relatives decided to come over, so, naturally, I had to quit roleplaying on the 11th hour (literally).

(Oh, and for those who are reading, I'm sorry, honest! If I'd remembered earlier, I'd have sent out the cancellation earlier! Really!)

The only person whom I wasn't sure I'd gotten to in time was [livejournal.com profile] lofwyr, but since he didn't arrive on my doorstep, I assume he got the message.

But anyway, Father's Day went great. I spent a bit of my time helping my Uncle Michael with a parapsychology experiment he was performing. The questionnaire took some time, and apparently I unintentionally tore through the questionnaire that was my Uncle's Pride and Joy...

Anyway, the big experiment with his PK-testing machine was interesting, I apparently got really high scores on it, but had the unfortunate problem that the machine had apparently got stuck into a particular mode, and thus he's not sure whether the results were valid or not. Ah well. If it turns out they were, then it looks like I have some PK potential. Apparently. Whatever it is, it's not much anyway, although it might explain why my things have difficulty breaking...

Speaking of which, a quick, interesting tale. I'd spent a couple of days trying to find my Flash Drive, it having many things of importance on it. I knew I'd left it in the pocket of one of my pant's but I couldn't find that particular pair of pants.

I found them. Freshly folded up and washed. Bizarrely, my Flash drive works perfectly. Even the MP3-playing capabilities on it. I'm quite impressed!
